The Sergeant Majorette says

Sandy was a WAC and I was in the gender-integrated Army, so we're
talking different eras, but I'd have to say: reasonable opportunites?
Hell, no, and don't get me started. I found myself, in the eighties,
relating to stories my father told me about the segregated Army in
the forties. That's just wrong. However, once I realized and accepted
that I was not going to be taken seriously as a soldier or a human
being, I was able to find the experience "rather good value", as they
say in English.
