Thanks for the link - very interesting.

I don't recall if I've mentioned it here before, but fans of Lewis
Carroll might be interested on the musical Boojum! by Australians
Peter and Martin Wesley-Smith. It draws primarily from the Hunting of
the Snark, but also mixes in events involving Alice - both the
Wonderland books and the real life Alice Liddell - but it's greatest
conceit is dividing Carroll himself in two - as both the shy retiring
Rev. Charles Lutwidge Dodgson and the extroverted confident Lewis
Carroll (the resulting psychological portrait is one of unusual depth
and complexity, yet one which is also respectful of Carroll). And the
quality of the verse is worthy of Wonderland:

A frabjous and curious creature
This thing called a Snark we hunt
We know ev'ry sign, ev'ry feature
Ev'ry trick, ev'ry skill, ev'ry stunt

We know ev'ry Snarkish endeavour
We can answer a Snark-Hunter's quiz
We know that a Snark is quite clever
But we don't really know what it is

The Hunting of the Snark, oh-ho
The Hunting of the Snark
Our greatest ambition
Our marvellous mission
This grand expedition
The Hunting of the Snark!

A useful device is the thimble
For protecting our flabby thumbs
For Snarks are so agile and nimble
As they snap with their frumious gums

And meticulous care is essential
As we start this incredible lark
For without we'd meet with eventual-
-Ly a Boojum disguised as a Snark....
