Oh please the Vulcan bird does more emoting than any two of the rest of the
crew in Enterprise! But Malcolm more than makes up for it for me. Plus
Porthos is adorable - Jon Archer is OK in my book, *anyone* who insistes on
taking their dog with them into space is OK by me. I wonder though how and
when the writers found out that Malcolm (no good with names, I can usually
remember characters but not actors) could do a reasonable impression of Trip
and whether the scene in the pilot where he does came first or the
impression did.

Homeward Bound is the thing with those lost pets making their way across
America - and while it was certainly better than some of the Trek films I
think you mean the Voyage Home ;) ST6 is good too I think, and 2 & 3 should
probably be looked on as one *really* long film, 5 & 1 were utterly
forgettable though, and I like the NextGen films OK (although I didn't see
the last one).

I've seen some of the original - and I do like it, I have read the two (or
possibly first two if there are more that I don't know about) books -
they're suprisingly good. Have considered downloading the remake (OK naughty
I know but while I'm curious I'm not curious enough to spend actual money on
it)
