{snort} Okay, so I'm about a billion dollars (or whatever UK pound
conversion) short to be her.
I was reading a journal entry where a person hypothesized JKR was there
during a Mugglenet chat because, basically, she could coherently string
sentences together.
Granted, I've never been on Mugglenet's IRC but I've always tried to type
within the rules of grammar, even on IRC. It takes me longer--plus, I'm
also a slow typist--but I've been in fanfic communities for years where
some folks judge you by how you communicate via text.
Hm, there's a new challenge here: How well can you impersonate JKR?
As a Floridian, I automatically default into 'good impersonator' because,
like her, Floridians can't count... our ballots at least. {chuckle}
Seriously, if JKR was on any fannish group/forum, I still wouldn't go
into... 'stalker-ish' mode. I'm paranoid enough with worrying about a
shoddy internet connection, a worn out computer, overly sensitive
'arteests' with the maturity level of a preteen, and covering my white
semi-Asian bum in real life to worry about if JKR posts in a fan forum.
No squeeing from me until JKR pays *me* money; otherwise, she gets equal
treatment.
Dina
