[HPFGU-OTChatter] Lupin's dad??

Not feeling well for a few days taking me out. Working on catching up.

I tend to lean more towards the new DADA professor, so maybe not far from
your idea but I don't necessarily think he's related to Lupin. Based on
the recent Edinburgh interview, I estimate McClaggan most likely a minor
character in HBP if JKR mentioned finding the name the 'other day'.

At first, I thought the description tapped into Godric but the walking
reference made me pause. I know subjects in paintings can move but the
wording didn't give me an impression of a painting.

Not necessarily. Lupin was released from Hogwarts by the end of POA and
the Order wasn't truly called together until the end of GOF. A whole year
of not having *any* home? Any place cheap enough to rent could imply
crashing at "Lupin's". It wouldn't surprise me if Lupin kept in contact
with Dumbledore.

If you're debating the poverty a child's illness can cause, then a home
can be sold (e.g. Lupin family home).

I think it's a bit more freedom to explore an idea without fearing your
posts are being counted and evaluated on being the most 'time-saving'. A
strong sense of 'elitism' and it's even stronger when folks think the main
list is deteriorating into a bunch of 'airheads'. ;-)

Can't please everybody but I prefer narrowing down who I piss off, so
participating on a smaller list with less strict rules is more appealing
to me. Since OTChatter is a sister group of HPFGU, it's easier to pull
ideas off the main list and expand upon them here, including any
extraneous tangents that would be barred from the main list.

Oh, I'm a snob too, however, I just don't dig folks who can't display more
sense. I watched about 200 folks email in age statements *on-list*
elsewhere when I, among others, perfectly understood the admins did *not*
request this. In addition, the admins sent *at least* three requests not
to email age statements on-list--days later, the age statements are still
hitting the list.

For the love of God, your *mass* stupidity {jabs spork at them}... and
this coming from folks claiming to be ages 18-55 in the HP fandom.

> "Well please keep Remus straight then!"

I'm a slasher. :-) I like gay characters, ambiguous or otherwise.
