"He looked rather like an old Lion. There were streaks of grey in
his main of tawny hair and his bushy eyebrows; he had keen yellowish
eyes behind a pair of wired rimmed spectacles and a certain rangy,
lopping grace even though he walked with a slight limp."
I think that all the little bits of information that JKR has dropped
all lead to Godric Gryffindor or his heir.
Why?
1)The Gryffindor mascot is a Lion. It represents Godric himself
2) Gryffindor = Courage = Lion
3) I have a strong suspsion that if Godric produced a Patronus it
would be a Lion.
4) his name itself is a play on the Griffin. Which is 1/2 eagle, 1/2
lion. Which also could point to him being the 1/2 blood prince.
5) Aberforth can't be the one she's describing because she already
described him in HPOP and "he was a grumpy looking old man w/ a great
deal of long grey hair and a beard. He was tall and thin and looked
vaguely familiar to Harry" because he saw him in the Order Picture
