INANE?! Nothing of the sort! Do I take it from your Melbourne comment
that you're Australian too? If so, I'll tell you that I heard a
fabulous little article on Tupperware on Radio National, which is
where I learned of our Special Relationship with said storage
articles. Most amusing. And, yes, the icy pole thingos... didn't the
stick bit in those feel good to chew? My mother could never
understand it, but I'm sure *you* do, HT. ;)

Yeah, I lived in Melbourne for a while, and was horrified to see those
Housing Commission flats in Fitzroy, etc. Truly human storage.
Although I had to laugh when I saw the monstrous one over at
Williamstown; built at a time when Williamstown was down and out, now
it has prime waterfront location in a fashionable suburb with
sensational water and city views! Score one for the little guy!

As for Frog Pyjamas... I've not spoken to other Robbins readers about
it, so it's interesting to hear that I'm not alone in thinking it
rather... well, crappy.  Oh well, the poor man's not a novel machine;
we all have our less glorious moments. I've gotten a lot out of his
other books, including inspiration for a series of paintings, so all
is forgiven.
