article suggests men should avoid HP books at the beach

I find it funny that the source of this information is a survey by
Penguin, a publisher with a large classics division, and therefore a
rival of Scholastic's on the school reading list front.

I also find it suspicious that they have Tracey Cox (who is published
by Penguin) reccomending-- what else?-- CLASSICS for men to carry to
the beach and read.

Analyzing her sentence, I can spot no less than three ways Ms. Cox
(is that her real name? What are the chances a "relationship expert"
with a book called "Supersex" would really be named Cox?) is a sell-
out.

First, she's clearly recommended exactly the type of book her
publisher told her to.

Second, what kind of expert would recomend getting women by
pretending to be someone you're not? It's essentially lying to
people to pretend to enjoy a type of book you do not, and if you
actually do hook up with someone that way, are you stuck with reading
boring books forever?

Thirdly, any "relationship expert" who uses the word "swoon" in a
sentence about modern women should be shot. Period.

I do find it encouraging that Penguin feels enough men are reading
Harry Potter on the beach that a trumped-up survey is nessacery to
stop them.

Long Live HP! On the beach and elsewhere!
