Sorry to hear your news, grindie, but your post made me (and my
husband) smile.
My DH is sort of an unheralded prescence in the fandom, but he often
reads over my shoulder, or, more annoyingly, asks me to read posts
out loud. He has read each book only once, but will often indulge me
in discussing theories so I can clarify my point before posting. He
has been very supportive; he stayed home with the kids so I could go
to the opening show of POA. I think he would like to become more
involved, he's mentioned going to the bookstore the night HBP comes
out and leaving my mother in charge. This is the man who wanted to
see all three LOTR films on opening day as well. So he is dreamy;
the perfect blend of involved enough to be supportive, but not so
much as to be invasive. Oh, and every year he throws me a Harry
Potter birthday party.
So, yeah, it's like I won the Daily Prophet Galleon Draw on this one.
