[HPFGU-OTChatter] Info for FF moderators and writers. (sort of Humour)

That was funny. Especially because I know how absurdly odd a spell checker
and grammar checker can be! I don't write fan fiction, but I do write other
things. After I spell check a document, I still go back and read it line by
line to ensure its accuracy, because the spell checker won't catch things
like the wrong use of "to, too or two" or transposing letters, which I do
when I'm typing fast. I've read some fan fiction that makes me shudder from
all the grammatical errors and actually detracts from my ability to enjoy
the story. But I know for sure, at least with Microsoft word, if I made al
the changes the spell checker suggests, I'd have some extremely unreadable
documents! I hope it's ok to pass along this poem. I've got some other
writer friends who will love it!

Sherry

While sorting through files on my PC I came accross this;

                        Eye halve a spelling chequer,

it came with my pea sea.

It plane lea marques four my revue,

miss steaks eye kin knot sea.

Eye strike a key and type a word,

and weight four it two say.

weather eye is wrong oar write,

It shows me strait a weigh.

As soon as a mist ache is maid,

it nose bee fore two long.

And eye can put the error rite,

                        its rare lea ever wrong.

Eye halve run this poem threw it,

I am shore your pleased two no.

Its letter perfect awl the weigh,

                        my chequer tolled me sew.

                        Sauce unknown.

This I now dedicate to all Fiction Alley Moderators who believe that a comma
is more important than the story or the meaning of words.

Have a nice day

UdderPD
