Of course the biggest difference is that Dickens had a bit of a reputation
for stretching things into as many parts as possible to make as much money
as possible whereas JKR is (currently) adamant that there will be 7 books
only - whether the Sherlock Holmes effect leads her to continue the series
is still up for debate. Of course she doesn't need to try and make more
money because she's already got so darn much :)
