And let's not forget that McVities were taking the government to court (or
planning to) over whether Jaffa Cakes were cakes (VAT liable) or biscuits
(VAT free). The definition one side (but don't remember which) were using
was that cakes go hard when they go stale, but biscuits go soft - personally
I've never left a packet of Jaffa Cakes uneaten long enough to discover what
happens if they go stale :)
