GEO: I think in the case of Voldemort that the Ring of Power here is 
the Dark Arts which is akin to the Dark Side in Star Wars with power 
given inexchange for your decency. The cruciatus curse is an example 
and the various methods that Voldemort had to use to sustain himself 
after he was defeated.

GEO: Dude Voldemort is too far gone for redemption. He has killed 
far too many wizards and done too much that no measure of penance 
can repay what he has done.
