We had this very assignment last week in Introductin to Natural
Language Processing. Somehow, it just never occurred to me to use
something from Harry Potter. I picked this rather odd sentence from
William Gibson's Pattern Recognition, which I was reading at the
time (highly recommended, by the way):

"He took a duck in the face at two hundred and fifty knots."

(Referring to an airline pilot who collided with a duck during
takeoff.)

I only did English-French-English, and got:

"It took a duck in the face to two hundred and fifty nodes."

Not very exciting. I guess I should have gone the Harry Potter
route.
