Well, we know what ultimately happens to Cedric - and some would say, we know what happens to Sirius - but we have over a hundred stories about Cedric on FA and hundreds about Sirius since OOTP's release.

I don't think she has any clue how much backstory people want about the smallest characters. A friend of mine wrote a wonderful story about Newt Scamanderr, and there's hundredsof people on the Regulus Black Discussion group. 
There's a lot people want to know about the characters. All of them.
