> I'm not really sure how the cost breaks down. In Ohio, it depends
on where you go to school. I know that I went to a Catholic school
and we didn't get reimbursed for our driving instructions. I think
they cost anywhere between 75-100 dollars. I didn't pay for mine so
I can't really remember. It doesn't cost to take the test. I knwo
this because I personally failed mine 3 times. :) Don't ask.

In South Carolina, in 1996 atleast, drivers ed was just an elective
in school and not required at all. I never took it because my dad
had be letting me drive to places like the corner store and the dump
and other close by backroads places.
As for the test itself I think it was free. But the actual license
itself had a cost of maybe $10. We also drive our own cars during
the road test.
