OK, AJ to the rescue again perhaps.

I made mine very inexpensively by getting fabric on sale and using
iron-sealing tape (no sewing machine).

But you can have robes made to your specifications here:
$55 http://www.garbtheworld.com/items/g0026.shtml

Or get the new type of school robe here:
http://wizardshack.com/hogwarts_school_robe.html
What!! It was working last night! This has the House lining, etc.
$150

Or wait for Alivans to start stocking the new types of robe, or get
this old type back in stock in June:
$89 http://www.alivans.com/custom/edit.asp?p=89492

Or order a $15 graduation gown with no hood online.

To think I handmade everything on my original costume, no sewing
machine-- even the tie-- now you can just click and get it all
instantly online. >:)

For PERFECT, BEAUTIFUL Hogwarts patches, use www.patchpalace.com --
they also sell on ebay.

--A. (If I can't walk around all month like that, I can help others
to prepare for the movie or next book opening, or conventions, and
we'll all enhance each others' costumes in public... :D )

p.s. I and my friend and family also have assorted colors of lizards,
domestic rats, and Crookshanks lookalike, great costume enhancers if
they like to pose for a photo!
