Oh dear, after reading your comments I'm wondering if I saw the same
movie. I thought it was brilliant. I went in knowing it was not
going to be a literal movie but more of an interpretation of the book
so perhaps my standards weren't as high. LOL

I think all the things that needed to be in the movie were there, the
things that will carry the basic story along. Does the movie
audience really have to know who Cho Chang or Cedric Diggory are at
this point? Not really. They are both easily introduced in the next
movie without the need of foreshadowing or meeting them now. Did I
miss things that were favorites in the book? Of course. Alas, not
everything in the book could be in the movie. I'm certainly glad
they didn't cut Hermione smacking Draco though. LOL

My problem is the same as I had with Mr. Weasley - a couple of the
actors just didn't look like I had pictured them so it took some to
get past that and those characters weren't as powerful for me as they
were perhaps meant to be.

I did have fun trying to figure out what interpretations JK referred
to in the USA Today article which she said foreshadowed things coming
up in Books 6 and 7.

By the way, hi to everyone I haven't talked to in 11 months. We're
finally fully settled in England and hopefully I can be back on the
Board more often.

Lynn
