A jumper is what Americans call a sweater. A night dress does exactly what
it says in the tin - it's a dress-like piece of clothing used for sleeping
in (I'll add used by *women* since while it seems obvious to me, if you've
never heard of one I guess it wouldn't be for you). A dressing gown is a
robe, usually with a tie belt, which is worn over night clothes when
wandering around the house etc, covers a wide range from silk kimono type
things to towelling robes to well pretty much anything.
