John Peel, a brilliantly dead pan and funny man was instrumental in
the success of T Rex and Marc Bolan. His death has made me again
think of the connections between many of the boppin elf's songs and
themes running through Harry Potter.

By the Light of the Magical Moon
The Wizard
Cat Black (The Wizard's Hat)
Eastern Spell
Salamanda Palaganda
A Beard of Stars
Dragon's Ear
Ride a White Swan
She Was Born To Be My Unicorn
Warlord of the Royal Crocodiles
Like a White Star, Tangled and Far, Tulip that's what you are
Pictures of Purple People
The Sea Beasts

and I'll leave you with this quote from Marc Bolan

"A word came down from the starry grey
The word said smile and then vanished away"
