Carol:
I thought about that, too, and actually looked for it there. It isn't
very hurtful and contains a grain of truth (if JKR did endorse an
American presidential candidate, it would certainly be Kerry), so I
think it would be under "starting to smell." But I don't think it will
be around long enough to fit the category. And as I said in a deleted
post, the only people she would influence are too young to vote
anyway. The rest of us, for better or worse, can make up our minds
without help, and if we can't, we'll stay home.
