I am not Roman Catholic but I really liked him. He was a good and holy
man. I was in Rome in 1979 and was able to see him at an open air Mass
on the feast of Corpus Cristi. When he raised the host as an offering
to God, it was a very moving, awe inspiring moment. It was as if he
were lifting the whole world to God. I will never forget it. I know God
is saying "well done good and faithful servant." May it one day be
said of us all.
