I had an idea about RAB.  I know we've all been saying it's Regulus 
Black (middle name Alphard?)but what if that's a total red herring?  
What if ... it was actually Amelia Bones whose given name was 
actually Regina, but she (understandably) prefered to be called 
Amelia?  I thought this was a thoroughly original and inventive idea 
that I came up with all by myself ... and then I went and read it on 
The Leaky Cauldron site in the voting question.

The R could always be Ronald ...
