SO I've done a bit of searching and while I can find
no etmology for the word horcrux. I did find that
crux is Latin for cross. So then I went looking for
the hor part and here's some of the possiblities:
hors, var. of fors "outside" (old french),hors -horse
(old english), hor -the high-flying one (egyptian),
and hors (Gothic) for well adulterer.
Ok so it was a quick search and there are problely
more stuff out there I'll have a better look when I've
got more time.
