You are correct in assuming that Jacinto is pronounced Yacinto ... I am 
fluent in Spanish , so if anyone had any questions reguarding the pronunciation of 
any spanish looking words , I can help. Jacinto is also a spanish word. If it 
helps , I will post the spanish alphabet and how it sounds in english.
