My theories (Do I still need to say SPOILER?)

Okay , okay, I admit the Amelia Bones bit was a bit of a shot in the
dark and I was thinking outloud, when I already knew that JKR had
confirmed the true identitiy of RAB.
My instinct with Horcrux (don't laugh, I know my instincts aren't
always entirely reliable, but hear me out) ... I feel that the 'crux'
part would almost certainly come from the same root as 'cruciatus' -
torture and pain. It's all to do with Voldemort isn't it? Therefore
it must involve pain and suffering (the fact that someone has to die
for one to be created might indicate this). The 'hor' bit I'm not so
sure about, but I like the 'whore' reference someone had a few posts
back. It fits.
I have just finished reading The Da Vinci Code, and I have to say
that I think Harry's quest for the missing Horcruxes could be every
bit as action packed and compelling as Sophie and Robert's
adventures. Do you think there could be any comparisons drawn to
Harry's family and Sophie's? (Those who have read it will know what I
mean). I feel sure this will have been discussed before - someone
point me in the right direction.
It was a definite page turner and I really enjoyed it, but found
myself constantly bringing Harry and his life into it - there are so
many paralells (and conspiracy theories). On that note ...
