It sounds like you have been a godsend. My heart goes out to those
young women whose babies passed away, and to you and your daughter.

The immediate needs are sometimes easier to help with: money, food,
babysitting; there isn't ANYTHING anyone can say that will actually
make it easier; the phrase "make it not be true" leaps to mind. Mere
stolid human presence, hugs, and tissues are often as good as anything.

You might suggest that your daughter do a little research on SIDS,
just for her peace of mind about your grandchild; there are some basic
preventive measures, mostly around bedding (although they aren't 100%
by any means). I have heard bereaved parents say that DOING something
in memory of the child is helpful in their grief after a time,
especially if it is some sort of activity/activism around what
happened to their child.
