Intro and Inquiry

Oh yes.  I remember reading newspaper reports about the Harry Potter 
craze, but never paid much attention, even though I've always 
enjoyed reading fantasy novels.  Too many photos of 8-year-olds in 
wizard hats, I guess.  Then sometime after GOF came out, both my 
mother and my (70-year-old!) mother-in-law sent me the books, saying 
I'd love them.  I certainly did.  It also inspired me to go out and 
buy several of those other well-loved books I'd always checked out 
of the library as a child and hadn't read in years. Narnia, 
MCCaffrey's Dragon books, Susan Cooper, Madeline L'engle, David 
Eddings.  I've enjoyed rereading all of them and look forward to 
sharing those with the kids as well as Harry & co.
