For those who don't know, Amazon.com website has several sample pages
from each of the Artemis Fowl books for those who would like to see
what the writing is like.

Go to Amazon, search for Artemis Fowl, then select the book you are
interested in. Near the top, next to the title, you will see a very
short description of the book followed by the word '...more', click
'...more' and that will take you to the sample pages.

Hopefully it will work. 

I've only read these samples, and although, more child-like than the
HP books, the still seem to be a very captivating read.
