Thanks, Sanra, I'll definitely grab The Odessa Stone and let you know 
when I've finished it.  You'll LOVE the Amber series, I think it's 
five books that start with Nine Princes in Amber, but mine is a two-
book set because they aren't nine zillion pages like the HP series!  
Sometimes I still think I can get to Amber if I just concentrate...

I love everything by Katherine Kurtz, although I have to prepare 
myself for the "weeping my eyes out" portions that come with each of 
her later books.  Her earliest books are hard to get through, but if 
you manage it, you'll be rewarded with her later stuff.  Pretty heavy 
fantasy.  I counter her by rereading my Myth Adventures books by 
Robert Asprin.  Thank goodness for humor!
