I was thinking of Mary, an Ordinary Girl, from Hobart who grew up to be a
Real Estate Agent (surely not a magical profession) in Sydney and then met a
Prince (with the unfortunate name of Fredrick) in a bar, marrying him 3
years later in a big Ceremony Televised all over the World wearing a Lovely
White Gown.
Now of course (and with the assistance of make up artists, personal trainers
and voice coaches) she is as beautiful, thin and lovely as it is possible
for a Princess to be. All she needs to do is produce the heir. All the
public approval in the world is there at their feet. And more power to both
of them really because they do seem very happy together and it is a great
story
But imagine, Ordinary Lesbian meets Princess Lesbian (mostly likely at a
women's rugby match). They have a commitment ceremony in a park, both
wearing tuxs, and everyone says how marvellous and fetes them in the street.
That's what I can't see happening. But it is an entertaining thought anyhow.
Here's some pictures of the lovely young couple

Since titled folk often married to cement alliances between
fortunes and/or families rather than individuals, I suspect it
happened often enough.
