Surprisingly, I did more or less the same thing as Juli - for me, it
was watching the PS DVD with my son, and then reading the first four
books in a week. I was in the midnight line-up for OotP...
Even stranger now, I actually have HP tinkets... my latest is a
simple rectangular POA DVD release button, the one with Watson.
I never tire of quoting JKR in real world situations, when
applicable, and never really tire of discussing certain elements of
the books. The movies are purely for fun. However, you will NEVER
catch me making any judgements about that slimey piece of work Snape,
for example.
