Inaugeration

I just heard a clip from the swearing in of the VP and I have to wonder what sadistic person wrote that oath. One line runs "without mental reservation or purpose of evasion", good grief, say that ten times fast!

I wonder how many times they rehearse the oaths - bearing in mind the line obviously meant to be quoted from Bush's speech yesterday was a lot simpler and he fluffed it and had to start again. And on that note 'we have a calling from beyond the stars'? (that may not be an exact quote because fortunately they've stopped showing it every fifteen minutes now we have an actual Inaugural speech to quote instead) I've heard better writing on day time soap operas. What the heck does that actually mean? To me it sounded like a presidential way of saying 'I hear these voices ...' I can't be the only West Wing fan here and my first thought was to imagine what Toby would say about that, actually that could be quite amusing - I feel a vignette coming on - does anyone know where I can get a transcript?
