Surely another objection is that if Dumbledore thought he could 
eliminate Voldemort at the cost of his own life, he'd do it?  "The 
next great adventure" and all that, eh?

Presumable it will turn out that Harry's task is to cast the One 
Sting into the Hairy McBoon, in the land of Hogwarts where the 
broomsticks fly.
