To change the subject slightly, I have been really annoyed with the 
Hollywood rag mags out there that are exploiting the breakup of Brad 
Pitt and Jennifer Aniston, or the trouble (real or contrived) of 
Jessica Simpson and Nick Lachey, or whomever happens to be having 
marital trouble this week.  What makes me feel worse is that people 
must be buying the darn things!

I know these people are in the public eye, but as someone who's been 
divorced I have empathy for them.  I remember feeling embarassed 
about the breakup, and flushing every time I had to tell somebody.  
If it were all over the magazines at the grocery store, I think it 
would have been mortifying.  It's sick how much we objectify stars to 
the point where even their private feelings become our entertainment.
