To clear up, I'm from the Isle Of Man, but I HATE boats, so I tend 
to take the plane, which is not at all unusual. People from the Isle 
Of Man tend to refer to England as 'the mainland', whereas I've 
discovered that people in England tend to call the rest of 
Europe 'the mainland'.
