I wonder if the New England accent I seemed to notice was Jim's
sometimes pronounciation of his R's, or a nearly inaudible trailing R
in the last syllable of a word. Listening with headphones as I've been
doing might enhance any accent I perceive.

Hi Joe, I have all 5 of the Jim Dale books on audio tape and I have
never noticed that that he has a touch of New England in his voice I
mean but I certainly recognise that he has a British accent.
