For the last book, I went the Amazon delivery route
(not literally, although I was tempted, since my FedEx
truck didn't arrive until 1:30 p.m.), but this book
has been pre-ordered from the Evanston, IL Barnes &
Noble, so I'm going to put in an appearance at their
HP party on July 15.  I've coerced - er - persuaded a
few 40-something friends to go with me, so we'll all
be there sans children. 

My ostensible reason for going is to observe the
hoopla firsthand as a student of performance, but of
course I really just want to get my hands on HBP at
the earliest possible moment.

akh, who fervently hopes her annual condo meeting
isn't on July 16, as has been rumored
