A literary equivalent of 9/11

hi,
 I have finished the book and I hated it and then I can't say I loved 
it but it shook me completely. Suffice it to say, it was a negation of 
everything we expect from Harry Potter till now. It's an earthquake. 
and pardon me fro the reference, it's like a literary 9/11  an event 
which you might have fantasised about butonce when it happens leaves 
you dazed and speechless. I don't mean just the  death, everything 
else, too; the style, the dialogue, the conversations and the people 
and most of all the people yes, nothing is going to be the same ever.
