I had similar feelings, at least with respect to not
wanting to _finish_ the book.  Mostly it was to do
with facing the long wait till the next one, I think. 
I had a harder time settling down with OOTP, though. 
That one was much more painful to me, and I had to
take intermittent breaks while reading it.  My biggest
reluctance in getting started with HBP was the fear
that I would have the same experience with this one.
It was very different, and a much more enjoyable book
overall; I must say that I cried more with this one,
though.  (Enjoyable isn't quite the right word there,
given events in the book, but it's the best I can do
in the slightly befuddled state I'm in.)

I want to know the rest of the story.  "you can't just
stop there!" I keep wanting to shout.
