Geoff:
It doesn't follow that he will. This is a bit of a knee-jerk 
reaction. How often do we think about making snap decisions when 
something drastic happens and then backtrack on them when we've given 
it more time?

He's obviously in a similar sort of mood to that at the end of OOTP 
but that seemed to have lifted a bit at the beginning of HBP.

I have to say that I have enjoyed the book more than OOTP. I found my 
first read of Phoenix was very heavy going but this one, with a whole 
raft of new characters and a number of revelations, an easier passage.
