Thanks for the suggestions.
Age range - any. I have no idea what age range I may wind up teaching
yet - potentially it could be anywhere from 5 to 15. And poetry is
great as well. I'd forgotten about Arthur Ransome completely - I
loved those as a kid.

Very different editions - one is an unedited edition, the other is
edited for modern political correctness, but is wonderfully
illustrated.
And thanks for the other suggestions, they are all going on the list.

Even if it's not available, I still want names - I collect books, I
can often track down out of print books reasonably easily - and
something like this is definitely something I want in the collection.

The list, at present, is only of books I currently have in my
possession, and at the moment I don't own a copy of either Ender's
Game or Ender's Shadow. Because I use these books so much in my work
with gifted kids, I'm always giving away my copies of them!
But they are definitely going onto the lists of books to buy again.

I own about 50 Biggles books, but they're not on the list because
these are not editions that I am going to typically lend to kids. I
might lend them to a kid who'd read the others and wanted to continue
reading because so many are out of print and they can't read them any
other way. But they're not on the general list. I think I will get
some newer editions though and stick them on the list, because I
loved them as well.
Thank you to everyone who is making suggestions.
