bboyminn:

Katherine AND Wikipedia are correct; Warner Brothers is WRONG.

Tom Marvolo Riddle derives his first name from his Father, and his
middle name for his mother's father, which is what both the books and
Wikipedia says.

Wikipedia-
"She died soon after giving birth, but not before naming her baby Tom
after his father and Marvolo after her own."

"...after her own..." implies after her own FATHER. So, his first name
if from his father, and his second name if from is maternal grandfather.

WB is wrong both in the fact that we don't know Tom Riddle Sr.'s
father's name was also TOM (Grandpa Riddle), and in the fact that Tom
Riddle Sr. would be extremely unlikely to have an unusual name like
Marvolo as his middle name.

Regardless of the source of Wikipedia's information, it is essentially
correct.
