Actually it is not changed. In the Bloomsbury UK edition Dumbledore
asks: "No, I was wondering whether I might use your bathroom?"
In England most bathrooms have a toilet in, so it would not seem unusual
to ask someone where the bathroom was in their house so that you could
use the loo. If they had a room that was just a loo they'd include
directions to that in their answer. However, unlike America, it would be
less common to use the word bathroom outside the home, and we wouldn't
use the word restroom. Brits would be comfortable using the words loo
and toilet in either situation.

PS "Chuffed" in britspeak means "pleased", is that what you meant?
