K., you are in trouble.  I don't know the program of which you speak, but
any time you delete a program folder without doing a proper uninstall,
you're "frightening" your system, so to speak.

The problem would require editing the windows registry to fix, a complex and
teeth-gritting thing for those who have never done it before.

One thing you could try is to use your system restore and go back to a point
*Before* you ever installed the program.  **CAUTION**: doing that will also
mess up any programs you installed after installing that one.

This may help you, I don't know, but feel free to write me off list and I
can try to talk you through this mess.
