Surely you'd have to try it out first. (snip)> The wand and the
wizard/witch must meet to see if they are compatible...jeez, do you
guys know nothing?

I think that the free with purchase wand that Order of Merlin.com
has is for beginners. And a beginner can really use any wand. As you
know from the HP books, some young wizards use hand-me-downs. As to
more advanced students and adult wizards, when ones buys a wand by
internet, you and the wand connect by your intuition. (Time and
space mean nothing to a wizard.) You just sort of *know*. The
witches and wizard on this list will understand what I am saying. ;-)

You actually use a wand? I have one(Harry's from Alivan's) but just
as a collectors item.

I have many wands from many vendors. Some are part of my collection
to look at and admire, and some are to carry in my robe. Hummm
..
is it possible that you are a Muggle? Or do you just do wandless
magic?? My favorite to use wand is the Master's wand from Order of
Merlin. I love it. Heard it calling my name. Core is Phoenix tear.
Very rare. (Each wand is handmade so each is somewhat different. No
2 are 100% alike.)
