Oh, i'm so glad you liked it!
The author is great and has several other great HP fics as well as some original stuff on her web site. I was skeptical at first, fearing what she would do with the blindness, but I love it and am actually rereading guild of the night, because I was looking for a long fic to read with all the main characters.

return. Very interesting take on how Harry adjusts to his life
being blind. I am blind, and so there are a few things that I had
to get used to and suspend belief to accept. Sirius isn't exactly
the main character, but once he returns, he's a big part of it.

Oh, my. Sherry, thank you so very much for recommending this story
and a sequel, which is still in making. I haven't read the story,
which so closely reminds me of JKR's style for quite a long time.
If you like Harry and Sirius and Remus and Snape, I do recommend it
very strongly. Harry is just a right mixture of vulnerability and
strength, Sirius is back, which I always love. Oooo and Snape, Snape
is just as I want him to turn out. His nastiness towards Harry is
not glossed over and he does learn that Harry is not his father .
Moreover, he starts to get along with Harry, sort of ( NO, in the
middle of sequel he is just as sarcastic, but definitely not nasty
and malicious towards Harry).
Oh, and while Sirius' stupidity towards Snape is fully
acknowledged , the author does not make him a villain because of
that. Nope, Sirius and Snape do not become friends, but they have a
permanent truce, because of Harry. My canon dream did come true in
this story. :)
And of course Harry is a main character, even though in many senses
it is an ancemble story. Many characters get a chance to play their
parts and how Harry adjusts to his life as blind is very interesting
indeed.
He also learns to tell people things ( both adults and his
friends), not to hide stuff from them, eventually. :)
Action is there too and this author writes action scenes really well.
I am babbling, I know, but I loved this story too much and I wanted
to share.
I do not recommend this story if you absolutely cannot stomach
Harry/Ginny and Ron/Hermione. Although if you can at least tolerate
those SHIPS, but not a big fan of them, I'd stil recommend it,
because there is NOT too much romance. Ron/Hermione is pretty much
in passing, Harry/Ginny is more visible, but still not a central
focus of the story.
I also do not recommend the story if you passionately hate Sirius
and Remus, because they are int he story pretty visibly as Harry's
guardians ( Remus from the beginning and Sirius from the middle).
This story and this author definitely go on my favourites list.
Sherry, thank you and Heidi, thank you too for providing a link.
