imamommy:
Not me. I proudly showed some guy on the plane my hardback copy of
OOP, which I read so many times the spine was actually broken right
down the middle. I think he thought I was nuts. Which I probably
am.

I now have a paperback copy, too.

SSSusan:
Me too, imamommy. I almost always have one of the books with me when
I'm at one of my kids' sports or music lessons, and I'm sure some
people thought I was a bit weird -- esp. when I was jotting down
notes. (But, hey, I was leading a PoA GR on a different list, and I
needed to make notes! :-)) Besides, it's an hour where you're
trapped with nothing much to do, so why not??

My PoA hardback is now losing chunks of pages and will have to be
replaced, like your OoP.

Tcy:
I have to agree with imamommy and SSSusan! I'd much rather be seen
with a copy of my HP books than any of those romance things (well -
maybe the altered one's would be fun to carry for a laugh).

I also must agree with the sad state of my HP books. My PS/SS
hardback (the oldest, of course) drops pages by the chapter and the
spines on all of them are in dreadful shape. I know I should replace
them but the thought of reading the story from a crisp, new copy is
awful. These books are well worn with love. Everyone in my family
has read from these books.

Tcy
(who for some strange reason, has no problem with the sad state of
her HP bindings but would never allow anyone to 'dog ear' the pages)
