catkind:  I don't think this one's a disaster, you can just go to a 
different message and edit the message number on the end of the URL. 
So your message is
http://groups.yahoo.com/group/HPFGU-OTChatter/message/26591
or message #26591, and I can change that 26591 to 25000 to get 
message #25000. Or am I misunderstanding the problem?

Still daft of Yahoo to remove such a handy feature.
