I haven't but Peja does and she's on hundreds of Y!G lists and seemed
content with the program.
Last I heard, the creator of PGOffline will have the patch ready to go
by next week and the software gives a trial period for free.
I'm thinking about trying out the program. I was a usenet gal before
mailing lists became popular. The option of downloading could be
useful when I finally get irked with Gmail's threading or Gmail starts
heavily bouncing messages. For folks with space on their hard drives
but not in their email accounts, this could be useful.
I just wish I could download my LJ flists in full too. I'm only on
March 13-14 and LJ 'expires' messages from f-lists after fourteen
days. Folks think the Y!G interface is bad? Try most of the HP
fandom's concept of 'design': big images and squish the text into
small boxes with smaller text. If these were art forums, sure, go for
it; but they're not, they're discussion and fanfic where legibility of
*text* is IMPORTANT.
{sigh} Then again, I also have to deal with 'teen angst' folk like:

and

Huh? Err, I get along fairly well with a couple mods of
Glassesreflect and sorta okay with a couple more.
I feel... pity for her and that irks me to feel sorry for a person
when I shouldn't.
